Meet Our Exceptional Instructors – Masters of Movement and Passion

  • ASA, a certified Hatha/Iyenga yoga teacher, competitive dragon boater, climber, and pole dancer, found her love for pole dancing in 2015 at Ecole De Pole Singapore. For her, pole dancing is not just fitness; it's also self-expression in various ways. Asa's favorite on the pole is static flow, integrating handstand and QDR movements. Since 2017, she has shared her passion by teaching yoga, pole, lyra, straps, and body workout in Thailand and Taiwan. Asa won the 2nd runner-up in the woman amateur category, AirSTAR 2017, Taiwan, and is also an Animal Flow L1 certified instructor since 2019.

  • With a background of artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, ALEXA has always been fond of the combination of artistry and athleticism of these sports. In University, Alexa joined the contemporary and jazz dance club, Dance Art, and performed on both local and international stages (e.g. Sibu and Macau International Dance Festival). Fast forward to 2021, Alexa took her first Pole course at SLAP Dance Studio, where her love and passion for the aerial arts grew with every skill and apparatus learned. Today in M.A.D, Alexa wishes to share her love for this art form to help students to reach their goals or just wants to have fun.

  • CHARMAINE has been immersed in the movements of ballet and gymnastics since the age of 7, and participated and nurtured herself in other performing arts, such as Drama, Choir, Concert Band, and Brazilian Percussion performances over the years. She also attained the XPERT Pole 1 & 2 certification in March 2023.It was not until her first pole dance trial in 2018 at Slap that her passion for dance was reignited. She was mesmerized by the myriad of tricks and genres that could be blended with the pole. Her first 2 years of pole training were undertaken at Physipole Carlton in Melbourne (VIC, AU) before she joined SLAP Dance Studio (SG) in 2020. After 1.5 years of poling, she joined the Instructor Team at SLAP Dance Studio. And today, after 10 months of freelance instructing, she is with MAD Collective, offering her specialties in pole tricks and dance, chair dance, floor dance, aerial hoop, and nutritional advice.

  • CHIA began her dance journey at the age of 4, starting with Chinese dance under the Beijing Dance Academy. While she had to put dance on pause during her teenage years, she finds herself drawn back to dance again and again - be it trying street styles in university or taking up reggaeton classes during her study exchange. After dabbling with various dance genres, she finally found pole in 2021 and fell in love with how it's a perfect blend of sports and arts. Chia is also a diabolo coach and has represented Singapore in the 2018 Taiwan Citizens Sports Games 全民运动会.

  • DANNI, your movement guru with over a decade of groove and teaching under her belt. She’s all about mixing the perfect moves with a whole lot of fun. Low flows and sneaky transitions? Those are her secret sauce for turning dance into a thrilling adventure. But here’s the real deal: Danni knows that to become an amazing dancer, you need a rock-solid technique. With her step-by-step guidance, you’ll master the basics and refine your skills, building your dance journey on a strong foundation. And when she’s not showing gravity who’s boss on the pole, you’ll often catch her pulling off gravity-defying handstands. Denni’s energy and passion are contagious, and she’s here to make your dance experience not just a class but an exciting escapade!

  • ERIKA embarked on her pole and aerial journey in late 2020, in search of a fitness adventure infused with joy. From the moment she took her first steps into the aerial world, Erika unearthed more than a mere exercise routine; she discovered a captivating canvas for artistry and self-expression. Guiding her students with a blend of strength and grace, Erika intimately empathizes with the challenges faced by those, like herself, who started with no dance or sports background. Her mission is to cultivate a supportive and safe environment where everyone can overcome obstacles, challenge themselves, and freely express their unique journey.

  • FIONA began her Classical Ballet training under the Royal Academy of Dance from a young age of 8 years old. She received her pre-tertiary education at School of the Arts, Singapore, where she trained in contemporary and ballet and graduated with an international baccalaureate Diploma. Fiona joined T.H.E Second Company as an apprentice in 2013 after training under distinguished artist, Silvia Yong. She further pursued her dance education with Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), practicing diverse movement disciplines and graduated with a BFA degree. Fiona then moved on into her teaching career as a Classical Ballet Instructor since 2018.

  • GINA's 33-year journey with dance evolved from a student to a performer and instructor in various styles. During this time, she graced international and local stages, worked with award-winning dancers of all ages, and obtained teaching certificates from several dance bodies. Paired with a degree in Psychology, Gina also specializes in movement therapy for clients with degenerative diseases. Gina believes firmly in the inclusivity of dance; her commitment to coaching and aerial arts stretches beyond adult dancers. Being a children’s coach for the past 18 years had inspired her to become one of the first in Singapore to complete the XPERT Pole's Children Aerial and Pole instructor course, with the aim to provide quality training to the next generation of aerialists and pole artistes.

  • JASMINE established herself as a professional pole dancer and choreographer for over a decade. She was the founding member of Bobbi’s Pole Dance Studio Singapore, the world’s foremost Pole Dance studio from Australia and the creator of the annual Miss Pole Dance Australia competition.

    Jasmine has also performed with independent dance companies and choreographers in Asia. Her performances include the inaugural Youth Olympics Games Opening Ceremony 2010, the W!LD RICE annual fundraising gala 2009 and the Asian Pole Summit 2008.

  • KIM MAY's journey from early dance training to discovering pole dance reflects her love for dance, movement, fitness, and self-expression. She received the Most Popular award at Bobbi’s Pole Studio Singapore Amateur Night in 2014 and has participated in many performances for events like the Singapore Night Festival, underscoring her talent and commitment to the art. She went on to explore new vertical dance forms like aerial silks and hammocks and now shares her love and experience in aerial sport and dance with others.

  • KIM Z has loved dancing and movement as a little girl. She was a Latin ballroom dancer in university, and took her first pole dancing class at age 25- she never looked back and is still in love with pole dancing today. Beside pole, she is also trained in aerial hoops, hammock, and silks. Her motto is “Nothing is ever impossible if you set your heart to it”. She loves sharing her passion for movement and dance through teaching, and aims to help her students do the same.

  • LYNNA's journey in movement began in 2006 when she joined a cheerleading team. Having discovered a newfound love for movement, she then moved on to learn belly dance, salsa, and bachata. She has taken the stage to perform at local and international Latin dance conventions. Lynna continues to dabble in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. Lynna's eyes were opened to the world of pole dance in 2016 when a friend invited her to watch a student showcase at Slap Dance Studio, and the rest is history... In early 2020, Lynna started teaching pole dance and aerial hoop, and has never looked back since. Lynna placed 2nd in the Floorplay Amateur and 3rd in the Low Flow Amateur categories in the Heels & Steel competition in 2023. Lynna also won the title of Miss Sexy at The Brass Barre's Amateur Night competition in 2019.

  • MAEGAN’s passion for movement was sparked in her childhood years through dance, particularly through her 6 years taking ballet classes. Though her journey took a pause, the flame reignited in 2021 when she discovered the world of aerial arts. Despite initial challenges like lacking prior strength experience (she struggled with passing inclined pull-ups for NAPFA), her determination and resilience propelled her forward. Specialising in Hammock and Hoop, she now channels her experiences into inspiring students, sharing her love for aerial arts and empowering others on their own transformative journeys.

  • NATASHA’s diverse dance background, spanning ballet, contemporary, and Chinese dance, showcases her dedication from a young age. Her venture into pole dancing in 2019 not only added a new dimension to her fitness routine but also reflects her vibrant personality and commitment to fostering a positive class community. As a physiotherapist, she intertwines her medical expertise with her passion for dance, continuously seeking ways to enhance strength and flexibility in her training.

  • ZOEY started her dance journey in the world of ballet. Over the years, her journey unfolded across a diverse array of genres, including Lyrical, Contemporary, Chinese Dance, Hip Hop, and Street Jazz. She has graced esteemed stages, including the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), Super 24, SEA Games, and Chingay. In 2021, Zoey discovered pole dancing—an art form that beautifully merges strength, elegance, and unapologetic confidence. She hopes to empower others through movement and self-expression, where the pole becomes your canvas for unparalleled self-discovery. Embracing new heights, she has also started exploring other aerial apparatuses such as the hoop!
